
Pishikhu Baptist Church (PBC) celebrated its golden jubilee on February 23 at Pishikhu village. A jubilee stone was unveiled by Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, executive secretary, WSBAK.
A press release from PBC pastor Khekivi Aye, stated that Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi told the gathering that WSBAK considered the Pishikhu Baptist Church a prominent Church among its units. He recalled the days when he was ordained at Pishikhu Baptist Church and how the Church leaders preached the gospel by visiting villages on foot.
The speaker exhorted the gathering to not only strive to save their souls but also to save the souls of fellow beings. He said a jubilee was the year of confessing sins, forgiving one another and to be set free from the bondage of sin.
The programme was chaired by Khekivi Aye, pastor, PBC and recorded by Xekishe Chophi, secretary, Jubilee Planning Board.
Opening prayer and hymn was conducted by Tokali Y. Shikhu, associate pastor women. A welcome address was said by Atoshe P. Wotsa, head GB, Pishikhu village and offertory prayer was offered by Mughatoli Yeptho, associate pastor youth. Greeting messages were delivered by Tokishe Chishi, head GB, Naghutomi Old, and Hukheto Yepthomi, head GB, Lhomithi village. Vote of thanks was said by Kaniho Wotsa, chairman of the Jubilee Planning Board.
