SM College hosts seminar on Intellectual Property Rights

 DIMAPUR: A one-day NAAC sponsored national seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and its implications in higher education” was held at Sakus Mission College auditorium, Dimapur on February 25. 

The resource person for the seminar was assistant professor, department of Political Science, Assam University (Diphu Campus), Dr. Bikash Chandra Dash.
A press release by Dr. Samuel Longkumer of Sakus Mission College stated that a highly educative and purposeful information on the topic was presented by the following : asst. prof, dept of Education, Government College Dimapur, Harekrushna Parhi; asst. prof, dept. of pol. science, Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur, Anil Kumar Das; asst prof; dept of economics, Unity College, Dimapur, R Emilo T; asst. prof, dept. of pol. science, Tetso College, Dimapur, Rajani Das; 6th semester BA LLB student, Ajeenkya D.Y. Patel University School of law, Pune, Lokuh Sangtam; asst. prof, dept. of economics, Sakus Mission College, Dimapur, R.B.Srikant; and HoD, economics, Sakus Mission College, Dimapur, Aosanen Jamir. The presentation was moderated by HoD, History, SMC, Gante. 
Earlier, the keynote address was delivered by HoD, Pol.Sc, SMC, Pranati Das. 
The seminar chaired by SMC faculty, Narola Jamir began with an invocation by SMC chaplain, Amenla Aier followed by the welcome address by principal, SMC, Dr. Arenla Aier and vote of thanks by co-ordinator, IQAC, SMC, Asenla Yanger. The event was followed by presentation of certificates to the presenters and participants.
