ATMA & Veterinary department joint visit to Samaguri

ATMA Dimapur, Chumukedima block conducted a joint visit with a technical expert from Veterinary department to Samaguri on February 25. A press release from ATM Chumukedima block, Tzubentula jamir stated that resource person, Dr. Kevi Kikhi veterinary assistant surgeon gave information about prevention and control of pig diseases and said that piglets should be vaccinated after three months followed by the yearly swine fever vaccination. He also gave information on nutrient requirements of pigs. The group also shared their grievances on procuring feed and on swine fever which had killed a few pigs. ATMA Chumukedima block officials along with the technical expert also visited a piggery farm and presented first hand information on piggery to the farmers. The program chaired by Tzubentula Jamir ATM, Chumukedima Block, concluded with an interaction. Ten farmers participated in the program.
