Yimchungrü Tribal Council bans

Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC), through a press release by its information and publicity secretary, Mathew K Janger, has informed the public that as per the YTC constitution, all villages under YTC jurisdiction are prohibited from using chemicals, electric appliances, and dynamite, other than traditional methods, for fishing. 

The union has also declared a prohibition on hunting and use of any inorganic pesticides, chemicals, and salts. Village councils and area GB unions have been asked to strictly implement the directives, penalize defaulters as per law and report to the office of YTC, the release stated.
