
Nagaland state Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) organized a CME on vaccination along with a talk on Nagaland malaria elimination and drug policy on March 30. The program was attended by IAP office bearers, IAP president, Dr. T Chishi; vice president, Dr. Deepak Jain; general secretary, Dr. Wapang Imchen; joint secretary, Dr Akumtoshi and Apong Longchar; and deputy director health and family welfare, Dr. Nesakho.
A press release from Dr. Deepak Jain stated that speakers of the program were Health City Hospital, Guwahati senior consultant, Dr. Rashna Das, Satribari Christian Hospital, Guwahati senior consultant, Dr. Devajit Sarma, Dr. Akumtoshi and Dr. Nesakho from Dimapur.
Observer for the CME from NMC was senior general practitioner from Dimapur Dr. DR Sharma.
The speakers of the program presented insights regarding all important topics on typhoid vaccines, recent update on IAP vaccination guidelines, National malaria elimination and drug policy and AEFI which proved useful to update knowledge of the participants and in turn impart its benefits to the people of Nagaland.
