SASRD observes 25th parting social

School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University (NU), Medziphema Campus, held its 25th parting social with Renben Jami, director, Land Resource Department as special guest on May 24. 

A press release from SU: SASRD information and publicity secretary, Atsungpong Longchar stated that, Renben Jami in his speech asked the graduating students to cherish their accomplishments and challenged them to make best use of the knowledge acquired in SASRD. He also elaborated them on the principles of hard work and perseverance through all trials and tribulations, asking the students to always carry a positive attitude. 
Dipong, Tinuyangba and Imlibenla Longchar delivered speeches on behalf of the outgoing students from B.Voc, B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. and M.Sc. (Ag.) respectively while, Kati S. Zhimomi, B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons 3rd year delivered the speech on behalf of the remaining students. 
Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by NU: SASRD dean, professor A.K Makar, exhortation by acting pro-vice chancellor professor M. Aleminla Ao and professor Pauline Alila, student’s welfare-incharge felicitated special guest, dignitaries and the invitees. 
The programme was chaired by Kedichütuo Peseyie, general secretary, SU: SASRD. Evangelical Union, SASRD presented welcome song and Imnichetla Jamir, social and cultural secretary, SU: SASRD delivered the vote of thanks.
