Student body constructs kitchen at GPS Lempong

Responding to the plight of Government Primary School (GPS) Lempong, K Khel Tuensang village of preparing midday meal without a proper kitchen, Tuensang Village Students’ Union (TVSU) constructed the same which was inaugurated on May 21.

A press release by TVSU stated that the union during its routine checking of schools came to know about the situation and after long deliberation with the village community constructed the kitchen.

 TVSU president, Imlong Zanchu said, “We initiated for a small project after we learnt that the teachers were facing difficulties in preparing midday meals due to lack of kitchen. So, we decided to lend our hand and construct the kitchen for them so that the students are provided quality food.”

The inaugural programme was attended by students, teachers, student leaders, church leaders and elders and the kitchen was dedicated by Tuensang Village Baptist Church Pastor, Rev T Mongba.
