KVSU to launch ‘Save Dzüvürü campaign’

Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) under the theme, “clean Kohima” will be initiating a cleanliness drive in certain parts of Kohima, and will be officially launched on June 5 by advisor, Rural Development, Dr. Nicky Kire. 

According to DIPR report, the areas adjoining the Dzüvürü stream were identified to be at its most crucial stage. 
Hence, the “Save Dzüvürü campaign” evolved spearheaded by KVSU.  
Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has agreed to extend full support along with many other representing bodies such as the core teams of the respective localities adjoining to the said site (Tsiepfü Tsiepfhe/AG colony, New Ministers’ Hill, Old Ministers’ Hill, Dzüvürü/Porter lane, Upper Chandmari, Lower Chandmari), the colony Panchayats, various traders’ unions, Church youth, schools and colleges falling under this jurisdiction (14 schools, 4 colleges so far). Concerned citizens can volunteer for this cause and restore Kohima’s prominent beauty.
