CIH, Nagaland conducts awareness programme

Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Nagaland conducted farmers’ awareness programme for horticulture development in 7 villages under three districts of Nagaland. 

A press release from CIH Nagaland stated that, objective of the programme was to identify areas for training the farmers on cultivation practices, post harvest management and marketing of horticulture crops specific to the region. 
The awareness programmes were organized in Dimapur district (Socünoma, Bungsang and Piphema ‘A’ village) on April 25, 26 and 30, Peren district (Mhainamisi and Punglwa village) on May 14 and 15 and Kohima district (Meriema and Pfuchama village) on May 16 and 17. Altogether, 132 farmers participated in the awareness programme from all the districts.
