Waiting shed outside Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church (DSBC), Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur was inaugurated on May 29, by president, Naga Council Dimapur, T. Bangerloba.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, GB, Chakesang Colony, Khole Kapfo, acknowledged Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) for taking its best initiatives in trying to make Dimapur cleaner and more hygienic to live in. He stated that since administrator, DMC, Moa Sangtam, took over the post, Dimapur has seen vast amount of changes and hoped that the changes will keep on progressing and multiplying.
He further called upon the residents and denizens of Dimpaur to care for public property as an their own property and hoped that the waiting shed would serve good purpose, not only for the residents of Chakesang Colony, but Dimapur as a whole.
Administrator, DMC, Moa Sangtam, in his short and brief speech also urged the colony residents to take proper care of the waiting shed and maintain cleanliness of the same.
He stated that the project was completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.50 lakh (approx). Maintenance of the waiting shed was handed over to DSBC in presence of senior pastor, DSBC, Rev. S Vitoshe Swu.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by pastor, DSBC, Juliet Shikhu and dedicatory prayer offered by senior pastor, DSBC, Rev. S Vitoshe Swu.
The newly inaugurated waiting shed was earlier a garbage dumping zone before DMC’s initiative to serve the denizens of Dimapur in a better way.
