Deputy commissioner (DC) Phek, Sachin Jaiswal in a notification informed that in view of the numerous complaints received from various/individuals/groups by the office in regard to non-inclusion of damage for the acquiring the building, plantation, fisheries and other structure affected during the construction of the 2-laning of Pfutsero-Phek Road, for which a committee had been set up for verification.
According to DIPR report, the members include Er. Nmang Sepong Chang, SDO (C) Phek as convenor with members: Dr. Diana Patton, SDO (C) Pfutsero; Er. AbhijaKhing, EE PWD (R&B) Phek; Vithwel, EAC (Development) Phek; Manoj Kumar, NHIDCL and consultant NHIDCL.
The verification committee will undertake spot verification of all such claims for non-inclusion of damage on: Pholami June 3; Upper Khomi & Middle Khomi June 4; Losami June 5; Phek & Chosaba June 6.
Therefore, the village council of the affected areas has been directed to inform all concern land owner/groups/unions/associations claiming such compensation to be at the affected spot on the dates mentioned. Any claim for compensation which may fall under the mandate of the verification committee is to be consolidated by the respective village council and submitted to the convenor during the spot verification.
