Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all the shops and business establishments within KMC jurisdiction to put up proper signboards in front of their establishments, with trade license registration number written at the upper right hand corner of the signboard. A press release by KMC administrator, Kovi Meyase also requested all shops and establishments to install adequate lightings to be kept on at night. While observing that many shopkeepers were found to be running their business on the pretext of cleaning their premises or offering reduction sales on Sundays, KMC has reminded those shopkeepers to stop henceforth. Violators of the same will be penalized accordingly.
