Friends of 80plus observe foundation day

Friends of 80plus Kohima village celebrates its 14th Foundation Day Tuesday at Duolhou Garden (Tekhouliesha) Billy Graham road. Presenting a report of the year 2018-19, Kevitsu Yhome said at present there are 182 registered members of Friends of 80plus Kohima village.

The programme began with welcome address by Keneingunyü Sekhose followed by invocation by BRCK Sr. Pastor Khrieneilie Sachü.  
A special presentation of memory verse was read by Alhouü Dzüvichü, who is aged above 80, followed by special song by Neimenuo Rame and friends.  
Greetings were also delivered by Classic Club president, Neibou Sekhose; P. Khel chairman, Kruyie Pienyü and L. Khel chairman, Kekhriesetuo Kelio. A yearly magazine was also released by KVGOA president, Vizolie Suokhrie. 
As part of the programme, free check-up headed by the Naga Hospital Authority was organized for all elderly which was followed by grand feast prepared by the grand children of late Vinyüü Dzüvichü.
It may be noted that Friends of 80plus is a non-profit, an entirely voluntary and benevolent fellowship which endeavours to follow Naga tradition and culture of bestowing highest value and honour to elders and the aged.
It also aims to document the stories and experiences of the 80 plus citizens and reach out in friendship and fellowship through monthly home visits, offer medical and other assistance to the aged and give them psychological support.
