
Kohima Bible College (KBC) conducted its graduation day (Class of 2019 graduation) with senior pastor House of Praise International Church, New Delhi, Choong Shik Lee as speaker at Multi Purpose Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima on Friday.
Shik Lee in his address urged upon the graduating students to have zeal to serve the people as it was their duty to serve God and the people. While challenging them to make a difference in their approaches, he also asked them to seek better opportunity to serve the people and not to hunt for better position or condition. He encouraged them to aim higher and work for transformation of the society and to read bible more.
Principal KBC, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo in his address during presentation of the class of 2019 said that KBC was the first Bible College in the state and 2nd in the North East India, whereby college will be celebrating golden jubilee next year. He told the students to be a channel of blessings to others and be the light and salt of the world wherever they go to serve. Rev. Kiewhuo urged them to be the servant with authority and to prove their dedication and serve the people well.
Certificates were awarded to the graduating students, comprising 13 Master of Divinity, 6 M. Div Extension and 43 Bachelor of Theology.
In special award 2019, Vizoyol Rote (M.Div.) and Vizo Seyie (B.Th) were conferred with Rev. Neihulie Award. This award is the highest award of the college, given to the students with outstanding achievements in the academic excellence and overall performance.
William A Patton (M.Div.) and Niyamo Woch (B.Th) received Rev. David Nunn Award for outstanding achievement in the area of field ministries.
Liang Y. Konyak (M.Div) and Rukuvolu (B.Th) were awarded with Rev. CB Anderson Award in the area of Christian maturity. Vizoyol Rote (M.Div) also received President’s Award in the old Testament Studies. Further, Lereno Liiho (M.Div) and Ashirii Kaini (B.Th) bagged Principal’s Award for outstanding achievement in the New Testament Studies.
Earlier, Abeiii Neihulie, president KBC led the presentation of 2019 award while Chumila spoke on behalf of graduating class. Programme was chaired by Meniyani Kinghen asst. prof., Bible reading by Neiheno Natso asst. prof., special song presented by KBC, closing remarks proposed by Moa Longkumer. Programme was attended by family members, church leaders, prayer warriors, well wishers and others.
