Holding him responsible for causing misunderstanding among villagers, Reguri Village Council, Reguri Youth Organisation and Reguri Students’ Union has appealed to all Naga national parties not to enrol, harbour, protect or support Whupiru Jackson, who had been expelled from NSCN (R), in any manner.
A joint consultative meeting of the three organisations held at the village on May 26 accused Whupiru of being a habitual defector from one faction to another and of having brought shame and misery to its denizens.
Alleging that Whupiru used to threaten village leaders with dire consequences often, the organisations further accused him of interfering in the village council elections with his “dictatorial character”, taking advantage of the rank he held.
And as he was continuing with this kind of attitude “threatening and tarnishing” the image of the village, the organisations said they were compelled to urge all Naga national parties not to enrol, harbour, protect or support him in any manner. They warned that the village as a whole would not cooperate any further to that particular government hereafter.
This was stated in a joint statement by Reguri Students’ Union president Luthsuchu Trakgha, K Lisiru Pfithu of Reguri Youth Organisation and Zhutichu Chaghathu, head GB-cum-caretaker of Reguri Village Council.
