Dzükou valley to be declared ”plastic free zone”

To preserve and protect the environment, the Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) is all set to declare Dzükuo valley  as “plastic free zone” coinciding with the World Environment Day (June 5). 

Advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, Er.Zale Neikha will make the official declaration in the presence of public at Viswema village on June 5 at 10 am. 
Earlier, the Southern Angami Youth Organisation has organised a three-day mass social work at Dzükou valley in the month of May. The volunteers were engaged in clearing the valley of disposing off non-degradable waste and re-emphasizing of proper waste management in the valley. The initiative to declare the Dzükou Valley as a ‘plastic free zone’ was taken by SAYO in affirmation of its pledge to preserve and the protect the environment.
