Mewar University (MU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tenyimi Students Union Dimapur (TSUD) on Monday to provide free education to Naga youths for undergoing various education courses at MU, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
Addressing media persons, Director, MU, Captain (retd) GS Vohra said that Naga students willing to undergo further education at the University can avail free education through TSUD. He said all tuition fees will be free for Nagas joining the college through TSUD. However, he stated that a specific amount, which can be payable in instalment basis, must be paid for fooding and lodgings.
Vohra further said that the university will be appointing a representative from TSUD to escort the candidates during their travel to the university.
When asked if there was any payment or registration needed to be done in order to avail the scholarship scheme for non Tenyimi candidates, president, TSUD, Rukewezo, stated that no amount will be charged to avail the scholarship. He further said that any individual from Nagaland can avail the scholarship scheme.
