
District level training and meeting for the Supervisor and Enumerators for the 7th Economic Census was conducted in Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung and Jalukie on June 4, and Wokha on June 3.
According to DIPR, Kohima District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) held its first meeting in the office chamber of ADC Kohima.
Chairing the meeting, ADC Kohima, LithronglaTongpi Rutsa said that the conduct of 7th Economic Census 2019 was important in the implementation of any planning process. She promised to extend support from the district administration side in the event of any difficulty faced by the implementing agency during the exercise. She therefore requested the concerned departments, Supervisor and Enumerators to undertake their assigned responsibility with utmost sincerity.
Discussing on the issues of the 7th Economic Census 2019, which is taking place all over the country, the District Economic & Statistics Officer and Member Secretary of DLCC, Khrietsolie Whourie highlighted on the terms of reference to be followed by the DLCC during the exercise.
He said that besides other roles, the DLCC has to monitor preparedness, progress and hurdles in conduct of the 7th EC in the district and to sensitize law and order agencies, local government functionaries at Panchayat/ward level in the smooth conduct of the exercise.
District manager, CSC-SPV, Nganuo Kielienyü and accountant of IT&C, Vizelhounuo also gave an overview of the 7th Economic Census 2019 and its preparation being carried out.
The 7th Economic Census will commence from June 6. During the three months period Enumerators will carry out the field work and the Supervisors will do the verification process in their respective areas.
Longleng: The training was held at EBRC hall, Longleng. Addressing the Enumerators and Supervisors, DC Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam asserted that in the context of Nagaland, the government becomes helpless to implement any scheme and project accurately due to wrong information provided in the census data.
He pointed out that economic census was an important operation because the statistical data are vital for any planning process and wrong census will have a negative impact for the growth and development of the state.
In this regard, the DC also urged the enumerators and supervisors to discharge their responsibility with utmost dedication to get accurate information from the ground so that the government can frame various developmental programmes for the people.
The DC also appealed to the concern departments and the Common Services Centre (CSC) to properly monitor and supervise the enumerators and supervisors to achieve accurate economic census.
The 7th ECI 2019 overview was proposed by Bausha, LDA, DESO office Longleng and the vote of thanks by Tehomeli Phom DM, CSC Longleng. The programme was chaired by Amos Phom, IOS Longleng.
In the technical session “the concept and definition of EC 2019” was imparted by Bausha, LDA, DESO office, Longleng while “Walk thru-App” by Hau-e Phom, DM CSC Longleng. The programme concluded with discussion & FAQs.
Mokokchung: In Mokokchung, the training was organized by the District Level Co-ordination Committee at Hotel Metsuben.
Delivering a short speech, ADC, Mokokchung, W. Manpai Phom asked all the people involved in carrying out the Census to not do the work casually but to be sincere in finding the ground reality.
Welcome speech was delivered by District manager CSC-SPV, Sosanglemba Longkumer, Power Point presentation on the 7th Economic Census was given by FI (DESO), Mokokchung, Sunup Longkumer while vote of thanks was delivered by District Manager CSC-SPV, Sunep Longkumer. The programme was chaired by VLE CSC-SPV, Lipoksungkum. The programme was attended by Supervisors and enumerators from different blocs in the district.
Jalukie: District Level workshop on Seventh Economic Census 2019 was held at Tamzaipa Hotel, Jalukie town.
Project Manager, Common Service Centre, Lanusosang Jamir, highlighted on capturing information, providing knowledge to the government and agencies, about various aspects of economic activities happening in the country.
Economic Census 2019 overview was highlighted by Vikeyielenuo, DESO Peren. Walk through- App was presented by Kangzang Chuilo Hau, Manager CSC Peren district.
The programme was chaired by Ilungda Nren followed by welcome address to the participants. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dikugong Esalung VLET Tesen.
Wokha: Training for enumerators and supervisors for the 7th Economic Census was conducted on June 3 at DC Conference Hall, Wokha.
According to DIPR, DC and chairman, District Level Coordination Committee, Wokha Dr.Manazir Jeelani Samoon, while addressing the trainees reminded them to understand the importance of Economic Census as during implementation of any planning process, developmental activities, schemes and policies of the Government, statistical data were taken into consideration and planned out based on the census.
He therefore urged the supervisors and enumerators to undertake their assigned responsibilities with outmost sincerity.
He further said that this time the task of collecting data were assigned to the CSC where mobile device/application will be used for entering data.
District Economic & Statistical Officer, Wokha presented the overview of Economic Census 2019 to the trainees. District Manager, Common Services Centre (CSC-SPV) Chenibemo Ngullie enlightened the trainees about Walk True-app.
