Allot seats only to indigenous candidates: NSF

With the results having been declared of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and Nagaland State Entrance Examination (NSEE), Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has reiterated its stand and demands that allocation of seats for MBBS, BDS, BASLP and Ayush courses through NEET and Para-medical, Agri. 

And Allied courses through NSEE mains examination should be awarded only to indigenous inhabitants – “Nagas by blood” – against the seats allotted to the State. 

In a press release, NSF vice-president Dievi Yano and education secretary Kegwayhun Tep asserted that the federation would closely monitor the seat allotments so that no non-indigenous inhabitant applicants were given seats. They further asked all selected students, after acceptances of their courses, to get their documents verified in person at NSF office located at Naga Club building in Kohima.
