
Nagaland and Manipur Governor, P.B. Acharya met Union Home minister Amit Shah and his deputy G Kishan Reddy, who is in charge of Northeast, separately in New Delhi on July 15.
According to PRO to governor, Acharya apprised Shah on the difficulties faced by people living in border areas due to lack of development. He said public private partnership (PPP) projects should be started in these areas for the benefit of the people.
Acharya also informed Shah about his recent meeting with vendors and other service providers during an interactive meet held at Raj Bhavan in Kohima. He said Food Security Act should be implemented for the benefit of targeted group.
At the metting with Reddy, Acharya the minister that people of the State were eagerly waiting and were hoping for an early honourable and respectable solution to the over six-decades-old Naga issue. He expressed the hope that a permanent solution would be achieved at the earliest.
