‘World Senior Citizens Day’ observed in Dimapur

House of Friendship Old Age Home (HoFOAH) in association with Rotary Club Dimapur (RCD) and Inner Wheel Club Dimapur (IWCD) organised a programme to commemorate, “World Senior Citizens Day” on August 21 at HOFOAH, Dimapur. 

A press release from RCD president, Ashok Agarwal stated that, deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol graced the occasion. Addressing the gathering, DC expressed gratitude to the organiser and said that the generations will always remember the immense contribution of the RCD in shaping the destiny of the society. A specialized free health check up for senior citizens was also conducted by a team of five doctors comprising of general physicians, ENT, ophthalmologist and dentist. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients. More than 125 elderly people attended the programme.
