The firm also stated preparation for blacktopping would commence by October 2019, adding that it would take full responsibilities in case of negligence and failure on any part.

Meanwhile, Medziphema Village Council (MVC) and Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) have amicably accepted an undertaking from the ECI Engineering Construction Ltd. on July 29, 2019.

In a press release, MVC chairman Nikhonyü Kuotsu and MTMK president Akhoto Kuotsu and general secretary Khrielie Iralu stated that they have accepted the formal undertaking in good faith. The two bodies, however, reiterated that failure to adhere with the proposed remedial measures would lead to untoward consequences, for which, ECI would be held solely responsible in future.  MVC and MTMK expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the general public especially commuters.
