With an objective to create awareness and to promote interest of Philately among the students, Loyem Memorial High School (LMHS) Tuensang on July 27 launched Philately Club at the school.
A press release by LMHS stated that the club has ten students as members with teacher in-charge, Lanusangli Chang as the patron of the club. The club was inaugurated in the presence of LMHS headmaster Debashish Deb and postal assistant, Tuensang, Md Moin Uddin. The Club selected Prashant Kumar Sharma of Class 9 as president, Wenpung Hana of Class 8 as general secretary.
The release said the main objective to form the club was to create awareness and to promote interest of philately among the students and to provide an opportunity to the students to develop constructive hobby and habit which has much to contribute in their education and learning.
