
With the objective of enhancing unity among Christians of all denominations and also other religious communities in Dimapur, the Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD), has chalked out a plan of action in this regard which was resolved at the August 31 meeting at Bishop’s House Dimapur.
CFD in a joint statement issued by its chairman Rev. Moses Murry and secretary Rev. Dr. C.P. Anto informed that its executive has resolved to hold a monthly Christian Fellowship in different churches of Dimapur. The first monthly fellowship prayer will begin on September 3 at the Sumi Baptist Church which will be led by Rev. Moses Murry in collaboration with local church pastors and church members. The second monthly prayer fellowship will be held on October 1 at the ACRC Burma Camp which will be led by Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu and the third on November 5 at the Holy Cross Church Dimapur, which will be led by Rev. Dr. N. Paphino and the year’s last monthly prayer fellowship will be held on December 3 at the AG Church Dimapur led by Rev. Dr. C.P. Anto.
CFD will also organise a seminar for Christian leaders, pastors, Reverends, priests and faithful on October 22 at the Town Baptist Church Dimapur from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. A. Bendangyapang will lead the seminar.
According to Christian Forum Dimapur, the main purpose of the seminar is to pray and create awareness among Christians in India and work for unity and harmony among the people of the country.
Also the CFD proposes to hold an inter-denominational Christmas carol in Dimapur in 2019. The youth wing of the CFD has been assigned to prepare the budget and go ahead with the programme. The Christmas carol will be held in collaboration with the government and NGOs to bring the youth in one platform for augmenting their spiritual lives.
Christian Forum Dimapur also constituted its constitution drafting committee comprising of Rev. Dr. C.P. Anto ,Rev.Dr. P. Dozo and Rev. Moses Murry.
The forum also informed that the logo of CFD will also be re-modified for which Rev. Moses Murry was given responsibility.
