Grade-IV appts should be as per norms: ASU

Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has impressed upon every department to strictly adhere to the established norms of appointments whereby all the resultant Grade-IV vacancies be appointed according to the laid down rules.

ASU president Vizokho Zashümo and general secretary PetekhrietuoKiewhuo also reminded about the December 7, 2016 Office Memorandum, which notified that appointment of Grade-IV posts in districts shall be filled by respective indigenous inhabitants of the districts only.
However, ASU said “several Grade-IV posts were contested by non-indigenous candidate and rampant appointments were made by certain departments and politicians”. ASU has cautioned that any deviation or flouting of the order would not be accepted or tolerated under any circumstances.
