Population stabilization fortnight activity launched under the theme, “take responsibility towards family planning-prepare for the wellbeing of mother and child” across Peren district on July 11 culminated on July 24.
A press release by the department stated that during the fortnight family planning camp was held at district hospital, community health centre and primary health centre and in all sub-centres.
In order to create intensive awareness, the release said Focus group Discussion (FGD) on family planning was conducted by the health workers in the health units along with counselling by the medical officers and nurses.
ASHAs conducted Inter personnel communication in all the villages at the grass root level.
Laparoscopic sterilization camps were also conducted by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Yetovi Tuccu (Obs & Gynae) and his team from CHC Jalukie.
