YVC summons; RVC clarifies

Reacting to the statement issued by 2 LAPOA convenor, Ruyosuyi Khusoh and joint secretary Veto Keyho, the Yorubami Village Council (YVC) summoned the two to appear before the village council on August 6 at 8 a.m. at the council hall.

In a press note, YVC chairman Vesolhu Veswuh, secretary Zapozo Lohe and Hd.GB Mudihi Lohe said the two had blamed and defamed the village in their condemnation, alleging that the 2LAPOA secretary Veku Khusoh was forced to sign an agreement under duress by CYF president, chairman VCC union Chozuba range and president and joint secretary of CRPO with village leaders.
YVC said such allegation without evidence, by the “self style leadership” cannot be tolerated by the village authority. YVC warned that in the event the duo fail to appear before the YVC, the council will be compelled to take its own course of action as per the laid down rules and regulation of the village council, and both will be held responsible for action meted out against them.
RVC: In a rejoinder to the statement issued by Ruyosuyi Khusoh and Veto Keyho, the Ruzazho Village Council (RVC) clarified that Veku Sapu does no posses an inch of land at Sekruzu and does not belong to the 2-lane road affected village.
In a statement, RVC chairman Jolelhu Veswuh said it was also astounding as to how Veku was made the co-convenor of 2LAPOA without having any land or property along the 2-lane road.
RVC said that the allegation against Besupra Swuro of instigating and sending youths twice to the house of Veku, promising the youth Rs. 2 crore on accomplishing their assigned work, was totally baseless and untrue. RVC said it clearly showed the malicious intent to tarnish his reputation.
RVC said Besupra had no hand in the land issue as the matter was only between Ruzazhomi youth and Veku Sapu, claiming that the latter had drawn Rs. 3.15 lakh as compensation against the Ruzazhomi youth plot.
RVC said Ruzazho youth will never stoop so low to act on someone’s instigation to accept bribes.
Further, RVC cautioned that in the event of any “recurrence or eventualities” to Besupra Swuro or Veku Sapu, they will be held responsible.
