Department of PHED Wokha division held the launching programme of SSG 2019 on September 18 at Lotha Eloe Hoho conference hall, Wokha.
According to DIPR report, the programme was launched by Er. Hukato K Shohe, SDO PHED, Bhandari. Er.Limathung Odyuo highlighted about the aims and objectives of the programme. EAC, Wokha Arhomo Yanthan urged the people to adopt clean and hygienic lifestyle which should include keeping the surrounding and community clean and not just the individual household.
He also appealed the gathering not just to address the problem but contribute their effort towards achieving a clean district. In order to become a plastic free district every household should avoid the use of plastic products and find alternative means to make plastic free Nagaland, he added.
Executive engineer, PHED Wokha, Er. Imnazulu urged the mass practice segregation of waste and proper disposal of water in order to avoid unnecessary pollution. Vote of thanks was proposed by Er. Beto Jimo, SDO PHED Wokha.
