Dimapur District Legal Service Authority (DDLSA) conducted a legal awareness programme at the 35th Dimapur District Ao Pensioners Telungjem (DDAPT) general meeting at Duncan Basti, here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, chief judicial magistrate, Dimapur, Ajongba Imchen, stated that the most trust worthy and bonafide members of the state were those of the pensioners.
During his speech, he termed the pensioners as “professors and teachers”as they would be able to hand out information which can only be given by very few people.
Further, the magistrate urged the gathering to continue speaking the truth.
Speaking on legal awareness, panel lawyer, Sangto, educated the gathering regarding certain schemes such as Nagaland Victim Compensation Scheme (NVCS) of 2012, and urged them to inform the DDLSA if any case relating to such schemes occurred to anyone. He also informed that a disability camp will be conducted and informed them to submit names of those disabled.
Earlier, the programme chaired by president, DDAPT, Dr. Merennungba began with an invocation by Prof. N Imsen.
