Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) carried out road repairing from Noklak Hq to Pathso EAC Hq, one of the oldest and neglected road, “with no repairing being carried out by the department”.
A press release by KSU information and publicity secretary, L. Shingnya stated that the road was the lone life line for the people of Pathso area connecting Noklak HQ with total of seven villages.
KSU stated that this type of initiative will be continued within its jurisdiction and appealed to all general public, councils and churches to coordinate in maintaining the road.
KSU stated that several organizations have appraised the state government for maintenance and repairing of the said road but the concerned department and the state government had turned deaf ear to the voice of the people.
The union appreciated the Pathso area councils and churches, Khiamniungan Baptist Churches Association, Kusong village council and Thang village council and individuals for their contributions. KSU also thanked the executive engineer PWD, Noklak for the machineries.
