SSB issue: NSF phase-I stir begins

To protest against the state government’s failure to comply with its demand of setting up Staff Selection Board (SSB) in Nagaland, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Wednesday launched the first phase of democratic agitation with students of various schools, colleges and universities wearing black band/badge along with the uniform of their respective institutions.

In a press release, NSF vice president Dievi Yano and general secretary Liremo R kikon said there was overwhelming response from the student community and the general public of the state.

NSF said the first phase agitation would continue for an indefinite period. In the event of state government’s continued indifference to its demand, the federation cautioned that it would be compelled to take up the second phase of agitation.
