Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has welcomed the outcome of the ongoing talks between the Government of India and NSCN (I-M) on October 31, 2019.
NDPP through its media & communication committee said that the party has always believed in the maturity and wisdom of all negotiating parties and had always been optimistic of an amicable solution being agreed on in the greater interest of the Nagas.
It has further appealed that all parties unitedly work towards implementing the common solution that was honourable, acceptable and inclusive of all stakeholders. NDPP has also appreciated all stakeholders, tribal hohos, civil society bodies, NGOs and Church for their wholehearted support towards achieving “this historic agreement that will entail lasting peace in our land.” The party also gave “praise to the Almighty for allowing His wisdom” to prevail upon all the leaders, adding that it continued to pray for a new Nagaland firmly established on the foundations of “Unity, Democracy, Secular and Inclusiveness”.
