
First annual get together-cum-picnic of Kuki Fellowship Jalukie (KFJ) and Kuki Union Jalukie Town (KUJT) was held at Baptist High School, Jalukie on October 30.
A press release from KUJT media and publicity secretary Seiminngam, stated that, the KFJ and KUJT were formed with a vision to bring the Kuki community of Jalukie town together with unity among the members and educational empowerment of the students in Jalukie town.
Programme was chaired by Paotinngul Hangsing assistant manager SBI Jalukie, vice chairman KUJT and TL Kuki, chairman KUJT exhorted the community to be united and work towards the uplifment and welfare of the students and community as a whole. The organisers revived the Kuki Youth & Student’s Union Jalukie Town (KYSUJ) and formed a new team to promote social-culture and educational development. Different sports and other recreational activities both for young and adult was held.
Prize distribution was done by Nguljang Sitlhou, secretary KFJ and Pr. Lamhao Sitlhou, chaplain KFJ pronounced the blessing prayer for the newly elected officer bearers of KYSUJ.
Around 500 members including students, parents, invitees and well wishers attended the programme.
