Community Education Centre Society (CECS) observed “World Heart Day 2019” under the theme, “Make Heart Choices not Hard Choices” on September 29 at Tuli Town, Mokokchung.
A press release by CECS stated that the programme was funded by National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS), National Health Mission (NHM) Nagaland. The release informed that the day was observed to educate the people on the importance of healthy heart and create awareness on heart diseases. More than 130 people from Tuli town, village representatives from Longleng and Mokokchung districts attended and got screened for hypertension and diabetes.
