Alleging discrepancies in the e-procurement Notice Invitation for Bids (IFB) by the urban development department dated October 18, 2019, the Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has and sought the intervention of the governor to check “such manipulative precedence” being set by urban development department.
In a press release, NPYC president Vilhousielie Kenguruse and general secretary (admn) Limayangba questioned the urban development department on what guidelines the bidders were asked to quote their bids “as per/above NPWD schedule of rate (SOR) 2016” and those quoted below the NPWD rate would not be accepted.
Supporting the demand of Kohima district congress committee (KDCC for IFB cancellation, the NPYC has also urged the urban development department to immediately cancel the tender and implement as per the guideline of central vigilance commission (CVO clause II.
Further, NPYC questioned the department as to what was the requirement for submitting tender fee when the entire tender process was done online.
Also, expressing surprise that the tender fee had to be submitted in cash (non-refundable), the NPYC maintained that such act was tantamount to manipulation and corruption.
Meanwhile, NPYC has appealed to all right thinking citizens to support in the larger interest and welfare of the society.
