Society for Training and Research on Rural Development Social Audit Unit (STRRDSAU) Kohima conducted a district level public hearing of Longleng district under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) on September 27 at District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Hall, Longleng. A press release by the department stated that the public hearing was held for GPs Yongyah, Yungja, Sanglu, Shamshangching,Oukshok, Lingtak, Amosen and Chingong under Longleng block and Apoiji VDB under RD Tamlu block. SRP SAU Nagaland, Vepo Keyho highlighted the importance of social audit and on maintaining proper book keeping as well as execution of work. Meeting chaired by PO (MGNREGA) DRDA Longleng, T Kikatemsu also adopted several resolutions. Presentation on social audit findings was presented by Kilangpenzü Jamir from social audit team, followed by discussion hour.
