Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has suspended the membership of I. Asang Jamir, president ACCC 2 Dimapur-II with immediate effect.
A press release by Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary (admn) N. Yona Konyak stated that I. Asang Jamir was suspended for bringing up internal issue and assaulting NPCC secretary, Nagavito Sumi and disrupting the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi celebration padyatra. NPCC therefore stated that he will cease from functioning as president ACCC Dimapur-II . The release also stated that DAC of NPCC has been directed to take appropriate disciplinary action as deemed fit and proper in the absence of DAC of DDCC. Meanwhile president NPCC has assigned Capt G. K. Zhimomi general secretary NPCC as in-charge of trainings.
