Nino appointed as State Lokayukta

DIMAPUR, JUN 5 (NPN)

State government has appointed Nino Iralu, retired district and sessions judge, as the new Lokayukta of Nagaland. Her appointment comes in supersession of the earlier notification issued on June 5, 2025.
The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted under the Nagaland Lokayukta Act, 2017 (Act I of 2018), as per the powers vested under Sec. 3, sub-sections (1) and (2) of the Act. According to an official notification issued by secretary Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Renboni Mozhui, the appointment is subject to the final outcome of Case No. PIL/1/2025, currently pending before the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench.
