District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) of National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) Phek conducted a sensitisation programme on the harmful effects of tobacco and COTPA Act 2003 on September 14 at 5th NAP Battalion camp Phek.
A press release by the cell stated that the district nodal officer NTCP, Dr.Reyosalu Lase Vizo urged the uniform personnel to keep away from tobacco and its products. Programme was chaired by deputy commandant, Joseph Thongliu. Altogether 111 Officials and jawans attended the sensitization programme.
