Mokokchung SAKHI-One Stop Centre (OSC) Mokokchung and district administration Mokokchung observed domestic violence awareness month by organizing “A walk against domestic violence” which started from Imlong Place Police Point to Multi-purpose Sports Complex Mokokchung on October 19. Programme was flagged off by EAC HQ Mokokchung Sentilong Ozukum.
According to DIPR report, programme was also held at the culminating point with SDO (C) Mokokchung Dharam Raj, as guest of honor. In his short speech SDO called upon all to come out and raise voice against domestic violence in society. The victims suffer not only physically but also psychologically, he added. SDO also declared the poster campaign and conducted pledge (signature wall). Vote of thanks was proposed by WangshinaroYaden, centre administrator SAKHI-OSC Mokokchung.
