Superintendant of Police Mokokchung has notified public about some traffic regulations in the town, which will be effective on a trial basis from October 23.
A press release from SP Mokokchung office stated that, the tremendous increase in the number of vehicles in the town has resulted in creating vehicular congestion, coupled with onset of winter festive season, whereby the vehicular congestion will be more.
In this regard, for the smooth flow of traffic regulation in the town, the following locations of the town have been made one way traffic from 10 a.m to 3:30 p.m: All vehicles proceeding upwards from Main Police Point towards DC office Mokokchung will be diverted towards Yongpang Traffic Point (Old Supply Junction); No down vehicles will be allowed to proceed from Child Welfare Office Sangtemla ward road towards Yongpang Traffic Point; Vehicles from DC Hill area Mokokchung will take the route to Main Police Point via New Town Hall road. Public and vehicle owners have been requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police.
