The ongoing Sanuorü bridge construction on the road leading to Nagaland civil secretariat and most of the state’s department directorates is in good progress.
SDO PWD (R&B) south division, Er. Vimete Pusa, who is supervising the work, told this to Nagaland Post on Tuesday. He said that the foundation of the four piers/columns had been laid and by next week the excavation for another 2-lane foundation will begin. Er. Pusa also said the contractors were using hi-tech machines for the construction. It may be noted that the Secretariat Road collapsed due to flooding of Sanuorü stream in 2015. It may be mentioned that deputy, chief minister Y. Patton, who is also minister incharge of Road and Bridge visited the site along with two contractors K.C Angami and Vilelie Khamo in July, 2019 and apprised them to complete the bridge at the earliest.
