JAF to intensify stir

Joint Associations Forum (JAF) of four departments, has decided to go ahead with the proposed phase-II and III intensified agitation with effect from December 2, 2019.

Several resolutions were adopted during the meeting of the coordinating body of JAF and action committees of all associations on November 30.
In a press note JAF convenor  M. Renthungo Tungoe and co-convener V. Peter Rutsa said all the constituent association reaffirmed their strong participation in the ongoing agitation.
It said respective action committees will pay surprise visit to offices having JAF members and shall reprimand or take action against erring members, and for which he/she should be blamed for any failure in the fight for the common cause.
JAF said a monitoring cell will be setup at CANSSEA building.
JAF once again appealed to all HoDs/DDOs/controlling officers to bear with the inconveniences and requested them to show solidarity with the JAF. It also appealed to the public to understand the situation and bear with any inconveniences caused during the agitation. It further warned that any individual/group trying to derail the ongoing agitation will be solely held responsible for any consequences.
Meanwhile, JAF said it was dismayed by the “cold attitude” of the state government in solving the issue at hand. Stating that it was never their intention to undertake such agitation, JAF however said that the situation demanded for such move as the government was not able to implement what the ROP PAC had recommended for its members.
