NSCN (I-M) has said it felt heartening that many church organisations across Nagalim were praying for a peaceful outcome of the “Indo-Naga political talks” as the two core issues – flag and constitution– had to do with God-given Naga nationhood. It was for this very reason that no Naga stayed immune from these pending issues as these were related to “our identity and pride”, the organisation asserted in a statement.
NSCN (I-M) said there was no better way for Nagas than to spend time in prayer and take the issues to God. The wisdom, understanding and guidance that were crucial at this juncture, God would certainly give “us if we approach Him in a pure heart”, it added. It also fully acknowledged and appreciated the approach of the church organizations in giving utmost importance to unity and reconciliation among Naga political organisations. Stating that it felt humbled to admit that this was certainly the will of Nagas at this decisive moment of history, the organisation appealed for continuing to pray earnestly to open the way for the will of God to prevail upon the hearts of all Nagas in general and political groups in particular.
The people of Nagalim for Christ must learn to exercise humility to find acceptance in the sight of God, it stressed. According to NSCN (I-M), Naga people’s fasting and prayers must not end in vain at this turning point of political struggle. “Let the mighty name of God be glorified through the smooth and peaceful solution of Indo-Naga political issue. Thus, let us join hands to listen to the clarion call of the Nagas,” it added.
