Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K Therie said post solution he looked forward to peace, a strong and determined administration, corruption-free governance, justice, equality, merit and a progressive life, saying post solution was about hope for change.
Therie observed that many social media posts/comments on the prospective political solution had created a post solution scenario filled with devils and dark-red gloom. He said the degree of fear and uneasiness among the innocent citizens was high, which was actually not required at all.
He reasoned that security forces were for the safety and security of peaceful citizens and they were not a threat to peaceful people. In the given situation, he said no group had really gone out of solution. Negotiating teams were all for the people and surely the desire and aspirations of the people for peace and progressive life were their primary objective too, he hoped
Nonetheless, Therie stressed it was the duty of the elected government to guarantee safety and security to the people. However, he observed that chief minister Neiphiu Rio had chosen not to comment. Despite representing the people of Nagaland, he alleged that the state government had completely failed to outline the true aspirations of the people to Government of India and negotiating teams. Instead of taking responsibilities, he accused it of having already abdicated its power to goons and unlawful activities.
“They are unable to guarantee safety and security to life and property of the people. They have also brought the state into bankruptcy…,” he said. While appreciating views of realistic and honest writers, he also called for not misleading innocent citizens.
