Workshop on promoting peace education held

The Three-day workshop on “promoting peace education through inter-disciplinary and multi dimensional approach in combating violence” concluded on December 13 at Peace Channel hall, Dimapur, Nagaland.

A press release by Peace Channel stated that the workshop was organised by North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) and Peace Channel in Nagaland and Patel Kelavani Mandal (PKM) College of Education, Madampam, Kerala and Bethlehem Educational Research Foundation and Peace and Harmony Foundation, Kannur Kerala.

The release stated that the main purpose of organising the workshop was to establish a network with various institutions working on peace and peace related issues. 

It informed that the institutions signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the mission of peace building, developing training manuals, academic research, exchange of faculty and students programme and even to establish a chair on peace and culture of dialogue in Patel Kelavani Mandal (PKM) college, Madampam, Kerala in the days to come.
