Petrol price slashed

Petrol prices fell further by 5-11 paise per litre on Sunday while diesel remained stagnant for the sixth successive day across major cities of the country.

In Dimapur, a litre of petrol tcosts Rs. 72.66 and diesel was priced at Rs. 63.88 a litre. In Kohima, petrol was priced as Rs. 73.47 a litre while diesel cost Rs. 64.53 a litre. The price of fuel includes excise duty, value-added tax, and dealer commission. As VAT varies from state to state, the price of fuel is also different in every city.
