NCS probationers undergo training

Assam Rifles of Phek and Tuensang battalions, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N), conducted orientation-cum-training for Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) probationers of 2019 batch from December 15 to 18.  According to PRO (defence), introduction to history, organisation and role of Assam Rifles and lecture on insurgency in North East was conducted in series of events.  The probationers also visited forward Company Operating Base along Indo-Myanmar border where they interacted with troops and local villagers. Demonstration on various field drills like road opening, establishment of mobile vehicle check post and ambush were also conducted.  The probationers were also acquainted with various IEDs in IED model room and IED lane in the battalions. Maj Gen P C Nair, YSM, IG Assam Rifles (North) interacted with all probationers and emphasised on importance of civil military cooperation.
