Diesel prices hiked, petrol unchanged

Price of diesel was hiked for the third consecutive day by over 30 paise per litre on Saturday in major cities while, petrol prices remained stable for the fourth straight days. Diesel is priced in the national capital region at Rs 66.54 per litre as compared to Rs. 66.34 per litre on Friday. In Dimapur, the price of diesel rose to Rs. 64.37 a litre while in the state capital Kohima diesel cost Rs.64 per litre. The consumers are unlikely to get relief from the price hike of fuel in the near term as crude prices have increased significantly this month.
