Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a lecture cum awareness programme on HIV & AIDS on December 26 at Battalion Headquarters of Assam Rifles, Mokokchung.
A press release by Assam Rifles stated that regimental medical officer of Assam Rifles educated the youth about various precautionary measures required to be taken to avoid HIV & AIDS.
The participants were also briefed about the schemes undertaken by National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) to eradicate HIV & AIDs from the society.
Tuensang: An interaction cum “Christmas Mela” programme was organised by Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles on December 24 at Tuensang.
A press release by Assam Rifles stated that the programme was attended by the village GBs, chairmen and ex-servicemen of Tuensang Town and its surrounding areas. Culinary show exhibiting cuisines from eight states was one of the highlights of the mela.
